Where can you find Graphic Designs?
Think about it...
When you get up in the morning while looking forward to sipping your first hot cup of coffee, or tea as I do, and you read the newspaper it’s staring you right in the face. Headers, columns, subtitles, fonts and images. It’s right there when you pick up your favorite magazine off the rack. When driving you read signs, posters and billboards. All of it is full of various elements to attract you to view it.
These various elements surround us all day every day. Even when you turn on your computer and view a webpage or when you watch TV. This also applies to smaller items we don’t even think about needing a design, like the sleeves on your coffee cup, vitamin bottles, tissue boxes, gum wrappers and other various packages or products we see and buy daily. Other everyday items are your bank statements, letterheads, flyers, resumes, brochures and business cards that we hand out and receive from others on a regular basis.
This is a small balcony view of the world that surrounds us with type, colors, sizes and images filling our minds with every glance we take. The advertisers intention is to communicate or persuade it's viewers to take some action. I remember as a small child watching a commercial for a popular brand of peanut butter. I was convinced that choosy mothers bought it for their families. I felt the other brand was inferior because it didn’t come with the approved label, “Choosy mothers choose...” I recall holding that brand trying to convince my mother that she HAD to buy it. I honestly believed it tasted better. Of course mom wasn’t going for it. I’m sure we can think of many products or services we buy because of advertising. Remember even in a tight economy don’t stop advertising, it could hurt your business. Use a good Graphic Artist that can advertise with your product and company in mind. A skilled Graphic Artist has marketing ideas that will help you itemize your strengths and image. Don’t use ads that change your look causing people to think you are a different company each time you advertise. Use a solid logo and tag line to brand your company. This in turn builds trust! Then follow it up with a smile and consistent service and your in business.
